The Society for Materials and Structures Testing and Research of Serbia and the IMS Institute for Testing of Materials - Belgrade, in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Engineers, are organizing a scientific conference:

Design, Execution, and Assessment of the State of Building Structures in Accordance with Valid Regulations and Standards

Purpose of the Conference

The Society for Materials and Structures Testing and Research (DIMK) of Serbia traditionally organizes professional and scientific conferences that gather researchers, engineers, designers, contractors, and representatives of relevant institutions, with the aim of discussing current topics and contemporary trends in the field of construction materials and structures.

The subject conference is dedicated to topical issues of design, execution, quality control, and maintenance of building structures in accordance with national and European regulations and standards. The goal of the conference is to familiarize the professional and scientific public, as well as representatives of the construction industry and competent institutions, with modern approaches, normative requirements, and practical experiences in this field.

Within the framework of the conference, topics related to optimal design and execution of building structures as key factors of their durability, the application of the national annex SRPS EN 13670/NA in the process of executing concrete structures, as well as the role of regular and extraordinary inspections of structures in their maintenance system, from technical and legislative aspects, will be discussed.

Special attention will be paid to the application of modern non-destructive testing methods in assessing the state of building structures, estimating the in-situ compressive strength of concrete for the purposes of evaluating the load-bearing capacity of existing structures, as well as planning and implementing interventions on structures aimed at restoring the functionality of the facilities.

Through expert presentations and discussion, the participants of the conference will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and improve the knowledge necessary for high-quality and responsible design, execution, and maintenance of building structures.
